With more than 35 years in the senior housing industry, Kendall Oliver has an insider’s perspective on what it takes to design, build, staff, and market a community for older adults. His in-depth operational knowledge comes from firsthand experience.
He received his Nursing Home Administrator License (#1121) in 1988 and managed nursing homes until 1998. In 2000, he opened his first assisted living facility, Cambridge Hills Assisted Living, in Roxboro and has operated his own since. Cambridge Village of Wilmington followed in 2015, and The Cambridge Brier Creek opened in the spring of 2022. Kendall developed, constructed and operates all his facilities. Apex was constructed over 4 phases, Wilmington was built in 2 phases, and Brier Creek has built phase 1 and has another phase to build.
Kendall’s diverse skillset has enabled him to venture into a variety of other real estate projects, including office, commercial and other land development. He and his family live in Raleigh, NC, and attend Providence Church. His son Davis just graduated Liberty in May 2023 and has now joined the Cambridge Team to follow along in the family business.
