Lifestyle Classes and Clubs at Cambridge Village

If you live near Raleigh, you’ve probably heard a bit about the Cambridge Village active senior communities, what they have to offer in terms of amenities and of course their proximity to local sites and attractions. But you should also know what we have to offer in terms of lifestyle classes and clubs.

Here are a few testimonials from Cambridge Village residents:

“I love the pool. That’s the main reason I moved here. I go to water aerobics 7 days a week. I think it’s so good for people my age.” – Arlene Pulley

“I like the gym as an activity. It brings together a lot of people. We all have a great time down there exercising and having fun.” – Bill Hunter

For Olympic Week in July, Cambridge Village residents formed walking teams to compete for most steps. The winning team logged over 700,000 steps! Other competitive events included inner tube races, water relays, a “Duck Challenge” (in which swimmers compete to gather the most rubber ducks) and balloon volleyball.

As part of our National Senior Health & Fitness Week in May, our walkers partnered with Apex Police Department in the Law Enforcement Torch Run / Cambridge Village Walk-a-thon, raising money for the North Carolina Special Olympics.

Cambridge Village has a growing pickleball club. Pickleball is a bit like tennis, ping pong and badminton. It involves two or four players, using large paddles and a wiffle ball.

Cambridge Village residents get together to knit, crochet, sew, share techniques, and to create blankets for the local hospital blanket project.
